The spaghetti supper and silent auction were so fun last year that decided to do it again! We’ll be at the Windham Veteran’s Center on Saturday, October 26!
The Silent Auction will run from 4-6:30PM. There should be another great selection of goods up for bids. We’ll be slinging spaghetti from 4:30-7:00PM. The suggested donation for the spaghetti dinner is $5 a person or $20 for a family.
Once again the proceeds from the spaghetti supper will go to the Alagille Syndrome Alliance (ALGSA). Our family with Nana was fortunate enough to spend a weekend last June connecting with other Alagille families from across the globe, including several nights of closing down the hotel lounge! It was Kate’s first opportunity to spend time with other Alagille kids. Ellen made some great friends who happen to be older sisters of younger sisters who have Alagille. The whole event was fantastic for everyone and was made possible because of the ALGSA.
This year we are up to something a little different for our annual Kate’s Krew fund raiser to benefit the ALGSA. Instead of a walk on the Mountain Division Trail, we have reserved the Windham Veteran’s Center for September 15 and will be planning a variety of events; including a cribbage tournament, hot lunch, spaghetti dinner, kids activities, silent auction, raffle(s), and vendors.
We will be hosting a cribbage tournament that starts at 10AM with check in beginning at 9:30. Entry fee is $10. You can sign-up here for the cribbage tournament.
We will be selling hot food from 11:30AM-1:30PM. Come drop in for lunch!
We will be hosting a spaghetti dinner from 4:30-7:30PM with a suggested donation of $5 individual or $15 for a family. Drop-ins are of course welcome, but if you would like to RSVP to help with a head count you can do so here.
There will be several events happening all day including kids activities, silent auction items, raffle(s), and we’re trying to fit in a few crafters and vendors as well.
As always, we will collecting donations directly to the ALGSA as well. If you would like to make an online donation, you can do so through the ALGSA Fight for a Better Life Kate’s Krew page. If you would like to make a donation by check, please make it out to ALGSA and send it to Kate’s Krew, c/o Turner, P.O. Box 276, Raymond, ME 04071.
Thanks! Hope to see you all on the 15th!!!
The Kate’s Krew Virtual Walk for 2016 will be held on Sunday September 25. We will meet at 10:30AM in the Mountain Division Trail parking area off Gambo Road for a photo and the walk. Everyone is then invited back to our farm for a pot-luck meal. We will supply hotdogs and sausages, if you are able to bring a side dish or dessert, it would be appreciated.
